In most games your gold and your sword belong to the studio. In Fabels they're real on-chain assets you mine by playing — a capped currency, item NFTs, and a player market, all live on the Base network.
FabelGold is both the in-game currency and a real ERC-20 coin on Base. It's mined by playing — never sold in — with a hard cap and an on-chain emission schedule the contract enforces itself.
Contract: 0x2192…79F5 on Basescan
Completing quests, defeating enemies and opening loot mines FabelGold into your ledger — purely by playing.
Tap Cash out and your mined gold is minted to your own wallet in a single transaction — verifiably yours.
Turn FabelGold into item NFTs. Crafting burns the coin it costs, so every item has real value baked in.
List and buy items on the on-chain player market, priced in FabelGold. You hold the keys the whole way.
There is no premine for sale and no admin faucet. Every coin that exists was mined because a player earned it — and the rules are enforced by the contract, not by us.
Supply can never exceed one trillion FABG. The cap is on circulating coins — a ceiling the economy lives under, not a countdown that ends the game.
Mining rewards start high and halve over time, then settle to a constant tail that never stops. No key — not even ours — can mint faster than that schedule.
Spending burns coin back out of supply, which re-opens room under the cap to be mined again. Sources and sinks balance each other — so the economy runs forever.
Everything worth owning is an ERC-1155 NFT on Base. Chop a tree or break an ore vein and the logs or metal — five woods and twelve ores, each keyed to its biome — are minted straight to your wallet, gaslessly. Then craft them into gear by burning FabelGold. Either way you truly own what you gather and make.
Crafting an item burns the FabelGold it costs and mints the NFT in the same transaction — real value taken out of supply and locked into what you made.
A secure game backend authorises every mint from real play. Items can't be conjured by paying — the only path to owning one is earning it.
Items trade for FabelGold on the player market, and every trade burns a fee. Item value and coin scarcity reinforce each other, set by real supply and demand.
Every player gets a self-custody wallet generated on their own device — the private key never leaves it and never touches our servers. Hold FabelGold and item NFTs straight away, and export to MetaMask on Base whenever you want to take the keys elsewhere.
List an item for a FabelGold price and other players buy it peer-to-peer, with the goods held safely in escrow until the sale. Each sale takes a small fee — half of it burned, half to the community treasury.
Every plot of the world is a real NFT on Base. Buy your spot, build on it, and later rent it out or resell it to other players — and each land sale deepens FabelGold's liquidity, giving the coin real, tradeable value.
Pick a spot on the world map and buy it with ETH on the land page. You get a unique NFT for that exact grid cell. Prices scale with location — wilderness is cheap, land near a town centre or the coast is prime. The town centres themselves are reserved for the studio to build.
Owners trade land in the game, priced in FabelGold: resell the plot to another player, or rent it out for a set time while keeping ownership (the renter gets build-rights until it expires). Every land trade pays a 10% tax to the treasury.
The ETH from primary land sales is paired with treasury FabelGold and added to the FABG/ETH liquidity pool. More land sold means deeper liquidity — which is what lets players who earn FabelGold actually cash it out. Land is the bridge between real value and the in-game economy.
FabelGold is minted only when a player earns it — completing quests, defeating enemies, opening loot. Ordinary play accrues gold in a fast off-chain ledger; when you choose to, you settle it to your wallet on Base in a single transaction. That split is what lets the economy serve tens of thousands of players for years without drowning in fees: the chain is the ownership and settlement layer, not the tick-by-tick game loop.
New gold comes from mining; gold leaves through sinks — crafting items, repairs, fees and market trades all burn coin. Because the cap is measured against circulating supply, burning re-opens room to mine again. A healthy economy keeps sources and sinks in balance, and the halving-plus-tail schedule means rewards continue indefinitely.
Items are ERC-1155 NFTs. You craft them by burning FabelGold, and trade them on an on-chain marketplace priced in FabelGold, with items escrowed by the contract while listed. A rare item is worth what another player will pay — the studio doesn't set prices or run a cash shop that competes with you.
Every account starts with an embedded, non-custodial wallet: 32 random bytes generated on your device become your private key, and your Base address is derived from it entirely on-device. You can reveal the key and import it into MetaMask on Base at any time. That freedom comes with responsibility — keep your key safe, exactly as you would with any crypto wallet.
Roughly 95% of all FabelGold can only ever be mined by players. The rest is a small, disclosed allocation: a developer stake that vests linearly over two years (nothing can be pulled faster than the schedule) and a treasury for liquidity, giveaways and events. Every allocation is visible on-chain.
Because it's the honest way to make ownership real. A normal game database can be edited, reset or shut down. An open, verifiable ledger lets players prove what they own and trade it on their own terms. Crypto here is a tool for fairness and ownership — not a casino.
